The Berlin International Film Festival is a great cultural event and one of the most important dates for the international film industry, including the screening of about 400 films and the European Film Market (EFM). Since 2003, AG Kurzfilm is present at the EFM at a stand under the umbrella of German Films. At this stand the German Short Film Association offers a meeting point and information around the German short film scene to industry professionals such as film makers, producers, distributors and festivals.
Furthermore, the short film catalogue “German Short Films” celebrates its German premiere at the film market each year. It displays a selection of 100 of the most interesting German short film productions of the past and current year. With its extensive service appendix it has become a sought-after source of information.
Since 2009 a selection of the award winners and nominees of the German Short Film Award of the past year is presented to the film industry in a screening which takes place during the AG Kino Gilde’s screenings at Hackesche Höfe cinema.
In 2014, the first flyer featuring all German short films presented during the Berlinale was published by the AG Kurzfilm and German Films.
