When ten-year-old Clara plays the wrong notes at a school concert, her father Thomas tries to help out. But he has got a drinking problem and is simply socially out of touch. Instead of saving the situation he embarrasses her even more. Torn between shame and love for her father, Clara wants to leave the event as soon as possible and hopes that he does not attract negative attention before they leave.
