KURZSUECHTIG e.V.
Launched in 2004, KURZSUECHTIG, with its five-fold focus and its focus on Central German short film productions, has become an integral part of Leipzig's cultural scene. Film enthusiasts experience an exciting film and competition programme on five evenings - compiled from over 100 current submissions from the fields of animation, doc, fiction, experimental and film music & sound design.
Since 2017, the festival has also expanded to include a supporting programme in which it presents panel discussions on current topics and a guest country (this year Spain) with short film contributions. KURZSUECHITG is thus continuously expanding its network as well as further training programmes for filmmakers in the Central German film industry. In 2019 the festival took place for the 16th time.
