PR 09.06.2022: German Animated Shorts Represented Numerously in Annecy


Eight short German animated films in the International Competitions and three more in different sections - AG Kurzfilm together with German Films again with market stand at the MIFA - New short animated films in the online catalog of AG Kurzfilm

 
The Festival international du film d'animation in Annecy is one of the most important festivals for animated film worldwide. The associated film market MIFA is also one of the most important industry meetings of the international animation scene.

For its 62nd edition, the festival has invited numerous German contributions and co-productions to the various sections and competitions from June 13 to 18, 2022. In the running for the "Cristal d'Annecy" for Short Films in Competition this year are BACKFLIP by Nikita Diakur (DE/FR), HYSTERESIS by Robert Seidel, LOUIS I. KING OF THE SHEEP by Markus Wulf and STEAKHOUSE by Špela Čadež (SI/DE/FR). PAOLOS GLÜCK by Thorsten Drößler and Manuel Schroeder (DE/CZ/CH) will be screened in the Young Audiences competition. In the Graduation Films in Competition, Bea Hoeller will compete with KLIMAX, Mona Keil with SAFT and André Santos Martins with SECOND (DE/PT).

The TV Films section will feature the series RUNES "LA GROTTE DE BALIGAN" by Jean-Louis Vandestoc (DE/FR), the music video ELTON JOHN, DUA LIPA "COLD HEART" (PNAU REMIX) by Raman Djafari (DE/UK) in Commissioned Films and DÉJÀ-VU by Dennis Stein-Schomburg in VR Works. The Feature Films Contrechamp in Competition section will feature the program-length animated film AURORA'S SUNRISE by Inna Sahakyan (AM/DE/LT).

Traditionally, the AG Kurzfilm together with German Films is again represented at the MIFA (MARCHÉ INTERNATIONAL DU FILM D'ANIMATION). At the booth with the number #C.15, interested industry visitors can inform themselves about current developments in the German animation scene, make contacts and learn more about the brand-new New German Animations, which have just been added to the AG Kurzfilm's online catalog. After prior registration, industry representatives can view the films via the online preview function connected to the catalog.
