Since 2010, AG Kurzfilm has been sending current short films from Germany and the Czech Republic on tour through the two neighboring countries with FEINKOŠT. This year, too, the programmatic focus is on short documentaries in all variations. For the third time the tour takes place in cooperation with the Czech partner ELBE DOCK Festival.

The six short documentaries in the 2022 edition of FEINKOŠT are as individual as they are topical. Three German and three Czech films represent the whole range of the documentary genre and show the personal handwriting of their makers.

The images of open-cast mining areas in Lusatia, filmed only from helicopters, seem unreal and beautiful - SIRENS by Ilaria di Carlo, the experimental documentary ANIMOT by Juliana Moska was filmed in rescue centers for injured animals and takes entirely the perspective of the animals. In the animated documentary GLÜCKSPFAD, Jakob Werner, Thea Sparmeier and Pauline Cremer explore the subject of body hair in women, and Diana Cam Van Nguyen's very personal approach to her estranged father is also animated: LOVE, DAD. The film MY IDENTITY by Vojtěch Petřina deals with the question of identity and artificial intelligence. The documentary portrait DONBAS DAYS by Philipp Schaeffer about a young Czech circus performer - filmed in Ukraine in 2021 - also brings the most topical conflict of our time into this year's FEINKOŠT program.

The current FEINKOŠT 2022 edition will premiere on September 30, 2022 during the German-Czech Culture Days at the Programmkino Ost in Dresden, and on October 1, the program will be shown for the first time in the Czech Republic at the new Kavalírka cinema in Prague.
Be surprised by the latest cinematic discoveries!

We are looking forward to the exchange with the filmmakers who will accompany FEINKOŠT this year and who will also be available for talks with the audience.

FEINKOŠT - The Czech-German Short Film Tour is organized by AG Kurzfilm and the festival ELBE DOCK. It is supported by the German-Czech Future Fund, the Saxony State Directorate and German Films.
