PR 13.10.2022: Current German Short Films at DOK Leipzig

Nine German short films in German Competition - New current German short films included in AG Kurzfilm catalog - Animation and documentary films of current catalog update at DOK Film Market - AG Kurzfilm part of Get Together Animation
From October 17 to 23, 2022, the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film will take place. This year, AG Kurzfilm - Bundesverband Deutscher Kurzfilm will represent German short film within various activities at the festival, which has also been a member of AG Kurzfilm since 2008.
For the German Competition of Short Documentary and Animated Film at DOK Leipzig, the viewing committee has selected nine current short films from a total of 2,700 submissions, some of which are world premieres, to compete for the Golden and Silver Dove: ONE OF US NOW by Maya Steinberg, MAKE OR BREAK by Falk Schuster and Mike Plitt, BORDER CONVERSATIONS by Jonathan Brunner, BEING THAT BOY AGAIN by Jan Koester, I WILL TAKE YOUR SHADOW by Ayala Shoshana Guy, INTRO by Anne Isensee, KAYU BESI by Max Sänger and Andrianus "Oetjoe" Merdhi, MARINE TARGET by Lukas Marxt, and THE WORLD IS A HOUSE AND THERE ARE RULES IN THIS HOUSE by Felix Leffrank.
Just in time for the festival, the short film catalog German Short Films was updated with 28 new films. The catalog has been published since 2004 and was previously published annually with a selection of 100 outstanding current German short films. Starting this year, new films will be included three times a year in order to achieve even greater actuality. With access to the online preview, industry representatives can view the current films here. The animation and documentary films from this update will be made available for viewing in the DOK Film Market Online Library. There they will be available for accredited festival members until April 30, 2023.
Furthermore, AG Kurzfilm, together with AG Animationsfilm, DIAF - Deutsches Institut für Animationsfilm, GSFA - Groupement Suisse du Film d'Animation, Mideu Films, SKICA Slovenian Cultural Center Berlin and Swiss Films, is the host of the Get Together Animation, which will take place for the first time on October 21, 2022 and aims to network the animation film scene.
