Maple syrup is too sticky and sweet for it, so the pancake that Mr. Bumble is just about to flip energetically escapes through an open kitchen window. Chasing his treat, Mr. Bumble is soon joined by others attracted by the sweet smell. The line of hungry followers grows until the pancake finally settles down on a plate to be coated with delicious things.
