PURPLE SUNRISE conjures up the feeling of youth, levity and the kinship of risk and love - at an age where love means all or nothing. Smells like Teen Spirit: A boy and a girl meet at a party and play the game of who will first risk making an open commitment to the other one. What begins light-hearted has its downside in the boy's incapacity to give emotional commitment to the girl after a night spent together.
