The ancient library of Alexandria (built in 295 BC) was the most famous and largest place of scientific research among all ancient and medieval libraries. With the support of the Egyptian government and UNESCO, the library came to life again in 2002. Director Anke Limprecht shows the everyday life in the largest reading area of the world.

After five years working as a librarian she followed up her studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne;
at present, she is preparing her first feature-length documentary
