Tomcat is a frustrated street cat who is in fact happy when a streetcar sets an end to his short life. But now he recognises that its not that easy for a cat to depart, because a cat has 9 lives...! So he unwillingly returns to life several times until he falls in love and finally has something to fight for but not many lives left.
