The baptism for a new life takes place in the home’s bathtub. The Madonna is washed clean and a group of church girls dance to the downfall of childhood. The unlikely heroine Madi grows towards the light. Growing up is glaringly bright.

Sophia Mocorrea

After her award-winning short MATADORAS german-argentinean Sophia Mocorrea wrote and directed THE KIDNAPPING OF THE BRIDE which was awarded as Best international Short in Sundance 2023 and received an honourable mention at the Berlinale. She is currently developing her first feature as part of the Torino Script Lab.
