Jan Soldat was born in 1984 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), former GDR. From 2008 to 2014 he studied directing at the Academy for Film and Television KONRAD WOLF in Potsdam. His more than 90 filmic and mostly documentary works deal with the representability of diverse sexual practices and preferences.
