Anna is recalling stories from her childhood told so often they became self-descriptions: Anna as a fat child in ballet class, Anna with a family friend in Venice, Anna as a teenager in the disco. These memories are part of an identity that is defined by a fat body, by an implanted thought of being wrong. How do you get rid of such images? The texts were taken verbatim from interviews with fat women.

Julia Roesler

Julia Roesler is a producer and scriptwriter. She took cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim and was a visiting student in Freiburg and Argentina. She is a co-founder of the werkgruppe2 independent artistic company.
