In spring 1990 – between the fall of the Berlin Wall and German reunification – the first former GDR citizens fly to Mallorca. Mallorca is a place of longing for many East Germans, known to them from their West German relatives' colorful postcards. Suddenly, anything seems possible. An animated documentary film; a collage of postcards, holiday photos, and documents.

Betina Kuntzsch studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. In 1988 she received her diploma with the video tape I SAT UPON A STONE. She worked at a GDR TV station and for film production companies. Since 1988, video tapes and installations, print graphics, animations, and documentaries. She lives and works in Berlin.
