In an industrial slaughterhouse in Germany, Jakob works as a security guard while Boris from Bosnia slaughters pigs. Amidst the cold brutality of their surroundings, the two men form a quiet, unspoken bond, united by a shared longing for freedom. When Jakob helps Boris retrieve his confiscated passport, they find themselves caught in a dangerous spiral of power and helplessness, forcing them to confront fateful choices that will change their lives forever.
Born in Freiburg i. Br., Simon Schneckenburger grew up in the Black Forest and studied film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. His short film BORZAYA celebrated international festival success and was semifinalist at the Student Academy Awards. He is currently working on his debut film and a mini-series.
