Hadi, a young poet from Syria, has been living in a crowded refugee camp in Berlin for a year. He is unable to formulate his thoughts or make contact with his fellow human beings, while his neighbor Nadim is afraid to articulate his feelings. One day, Hadi decides to bury a cassette with old recordings from his childhood under a tree. But the peace does not last long, because the hidden cassette changes the fate of both of them forever.
Dyaa Naim, born in Syria, participated in installations and art projects at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee Art Academy as part of a study program. He has studied directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF since 2019. His project FROM THE IN AND OUTSIDE was funded by Amnesty International in 2020.
