After losing her daughter to ISIS, Silvi travels to Iraqi Kurdistan to meet her grandson Ishaq. Despite cultural barriers and the weight of a shared trauma, she fights to establish a bond with him. But as her return to Germany draws closer, she is forced to make a pivotal decision.

Tuna Kaptan

He studied Theatre and Media before training in Film Directing in Buenos Aires and at HFF Munich. His films screened at IDFA and DOK Leipzig. Are You Listening Mother? premiered at Clermont-Ferrand and received the First Steps Award. Rohbau received the German New Cinema Talent Award and was released in 2024.
