Zhenya joins her family to celebrate her grandfather's birthday. As the day unfolds, a series of tense, intimate conversations unfold: minor frictions, long-overdue words. Amidst all these voices, Zhenya discovers a doorway into her own story and perhaps into her mother's as well.

Ekaterina Reinbold

Born in Siberia, she moved to Germany with her family in the 1990s. After studying social work, she took fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) from 2014, graduating as a Master Student in 2019. In 2020, she began postgraduate studies in directing and screenwriting at the KHM Cologne.
