In Asylum a highly theatrical action unfolds. The 120 performers, most of them asylum seekers, appear to be stuck in cycles of work that are never fulfilled. Rosefeldts use of theatre results in a series of beautiful scenes that contrast vividly with the idea of deprivation and thereby emphasise the inhumanity of his characters position.
