Service for Teachers
Short films are excellently suited to being shown and discussed in class – much better than a feature-length film, which, due to its length, can hardly be watched in full during a double lesson, let alone discussed.
Short films, on the other hand, can even be watched multiple times and discussed in detail. In a short time, they can open up new perspectives for students, tell stories about unfamiliar worlds, and offer new formal and narrative experiences.
AG Kurzfilm is committed to film education, which, as part of media education, imparts skills for working with films. Most of the content for teachers is only available in German. Therefore, some points, such as "Wo bekomme ich Kurzfilme für den Unterricht her?" (Where can I get short films for teaching?), are only available on our German-language pages. In the past, AG Kurzfilm has also organized recommendation lists, seminars, and fishbowl discussion series on the topic. These activities can be found in the archive.
