PR 28.05.2024: AG Kurzfilm present at the International Animation Film Festival in Annecy

New German Animations available as an online preview +++ 14 German (co-)productions in the festival's official selection
The AG Kurzfilm will also be represented at the “Festival International du Film d'Animation” in Annecy (June 9-15, 2024), one of the most important film festivals for animated film worldwide. Together with German Films, the Federal Association of German Short Film will have a stand at the MIFA (Marché International du Film d'Animation) film market, which takes place from June 11 to 14, to provide information on current developments in the German animation scene and offer various networking opportunities. Interested trade visitors can also find out more about the brand new New German Animations, which were added to the AG Kurzfilm online catalog in 2024. Industry representatives can view the films after prior registration via the online preview function connected to the catalog.
German (co-)productions in the festival
A total of 14 German short films were invited to the various sections of the film festival: JOKO (DE, PL, CZ 2024) by Izabela Plucinska and MORAL SUPPORT (DE, HR 2024) by Vuk Jevremovic are screening in the “Short Films in Competition” section. The “Short Films in Competition - Off Limits” section features GRAIN CLOUD ATMOSPHERE (IT, DE 2023) by Martin Moolhuijsen, LINES (DE 2024) by Martin Schmidt and O/S (DE, HK 2024) by Max Hattler. The “Short Films in Competition - Perspectives” will show IT SHOULDN'T RAIN TOMORROW (PT, DE 2024) by Maria Trigo Teixeira and THE WILD-TEMPERED CLAVIER (DE 2024) by Anna Samo. TUU-TUU-TIL (DE 2024) by Veronica Solomon will be presented in the “Short Films in Competition - Young Audiences” section. MOVING MOUNTAINS (DE 2024) by Jessica Poon and CARROTICA (DE 2024) by Daniel Sterlin-Altman can be seen in the “Graduation Films” section. A total of three German works will be screened in the “Commissioned Films” section: ASHNIKKO “WORMS” (DE 2023) by Raman Djafari, ADULT SWIM OFF THE AIR “MAGIC BUZZ” (DE 2023) by Julia Müller and the INTERFILM 39 FESTIVAL TRAILER (DE 2023) by Anne Isensee. Finally, the “VR Works” include EMPEROR (FR, DE 2023) by Marion Burger and Ilan Cohen.
During the festival, there will also be a German reception to which AG Kurzfilm, AG Animationsfilm, animation germany, Animation Media Creators Region Stuttgart, Animation Production Days, FMX 2025, Animationsinstitut der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, German Films, Internationales Trickfilmfestival Stuttgart as well as Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung and MFG Baden-Württemberg invite the German and international animation industry to network.
