AG Kurzfilm at the German Pavillion of the virtual Marché du Film Cannes +++ Two German short films in the Cinéfondation +++ Publication of the preview compilation "German Short Films Part 2"

The Festival de Cannes can be held again physically this year from 6-17 July 2021. Two German short film productions were invited to the competition for university films, Cinéfondation, this year: FRIDA by Aleksandra Odić (DFFB) and SAINT ANDROID by Lukas von Berg (Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg).

From 06 to 15 July 2021, the AG Kurzfilm, together with German Films, will present the current German short film production in the German Pavilion at the Marché du Film both, on location in Cannes and virtually. Among other things, the new viewing compilation "German Short Films Part 2 2021" will be presented, the films of which can once again be viewed via the AG Kurzfilm online preview. In Cannes, the compilation will be available for online viewing at the Short Film Corner, the industry platform in Cannes for short film. The Short Film Corner will also take place in hybrid form from 12-16 July 2021.
In addition, registered users will be able to view almost all the short films in the new compilation for 12 months via the industry platform T-Port.

"In recent years, German short films have repeatedly shone with their presence in the official sections of the Cannes International Film Festival. The fact that this year two were selected for the Cinéfondation is further confirmation that the work of students from German film schools can compete on an international level," says Jana Cernik, managing director of AG Kurzfilm.
