Grew up in Germany and Switzerland;
began studying psychology at the Freie Universität Berlin before turning to filmmaking;
worked on an animation series at a production company in Basel;
currently studies at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg
Marleen Valien, born 1995, graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts with her BA Communication Design. During her studies she also attended the art class of Professor Ai Weiwei. Since 2017 she has studied directing at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg.
