A dusty area in between the railway line and the highway. Campfires flaring. Groups of people gathering. Fragments of touching conversations direct the viewer's attention to the microcosm of individual destinies within the context of world affairs. What seems abstract and far away suddenly becomes close and alive.

Jakob Krese grew up between the former Yugoslavia and Germany. His films have been shown at competition programs in numerous festivals, such as IFFR Rotterdam, Palm Springs, Guanajuato, Busan and DOK Leipzig. In 2019 he co-founded the independent production company Majmun Films, based in Berlin.
