The Romanian careworker Marina tells about her daily life of being employed 24/7 in a German private home: Of the conflict of carrying out vital emotional work while having to live far away from her own family. Performing invisible work in isolation, Marina becomes the personification of ‘East European cheap labour’.

Julia Roesler

Julia Roesler is a producer and scriptwriter. She took cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim and was a visiting student in Freiburg and Argentina. She is a co-founder of the werkgruppe2 independent artistic company.
