A woman running away from a terrible relationship finds herself eye to eye with a chicken. They share a moment, a cigarette, and a desire to burn down everything around them to soothe their respective wounds. A painterly flight of fancy about the elation that comes with breaking out of a cycle of pain.

Anna Benner is an artist working in animation, drawing, and installation. Her work deals with psychology and emotions, often using hand-drawn rotoscope animation. Her animated shorts have screened globally and won prizes at international film festivals such as Annecy, Encounters and Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film.
