In the summer heat of a small Andalusian village, a young man explores his sexuality through the half-naked figure of Jesus Christ. Elías does not only feel aroused by the images of Jesus Christ and other martyrs, he wants to be like them. As a result and in order to get closer to God, he begins to develop masochistic tendencies, which rapidly get out of hand. Elías soon realises that he has to make real physical sacrifices to receive the heavenly love of God.
