The compilation movie HEIMATFILM presents the essence of the German Heimatfilm, a genre of sentimental films set in idealized country surroundings. The scheme of the film is simple; it is a love story that eventually reaches a happy end following a few misunderstandings and the appearance of a villain. HEIMATFILM follows this plot, edited from 50 movies.
Marion Kellmann studied screenwriting at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg and graduated with distinction in film and media arts from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. She works as an editor and filmmaker in Cologne. Her films have been shown at film festivals and museums worldwide and been multi-awarded.
