"If my Lusatia is no longer Sorbian, then I'll riot!" - is the motto of the two young Sorbians Mira and Luka. In SOM DOMA, we accompany Mira and Luka as they produce a short film that seeks to address queer topics in their supposedly conservative Sorbian community. Between the dying Sorbian language and hostile anti-queer voices in their surroundings, Mira and Luka search for their place in their homeland.

After completing high school, Lukas Mutschler studied history and theater studies at the University of Leipzig. Through his work as an archive producer at LOOKS Film, he discovered documentaries and began studying documentaries and TV journalism at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) in 2021.
