Johanna has to tell her mother Ursula that she has not been accepted to take her final exams. She joins Ursula on a short vacation to Piecht, in order to catch her at a quiet moment. Ursula, who does not want to admit that her daughter is growing up, is actively looking for a substitute community, and finds a direct kinship in Piecht. It becomes more and more difficult for Johanna to stay in touch with Ursula, until finally her non-admission to the final exams becomes the least of her problems.

Luka Lara Steffen
Luka Lara Steffen studied screenwriting and directing at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne from 2014 to 2022. During her time there, she made several short films and a long documentary. In 2022 she was awarded the "Shoot" award from the IFFF Dortmund+Köln.
