Luisa from Buenos Aires and Fred from Brandenburg have created their own universe in their relationship. At their wedding, the two lovers are increasingly confronted by their social roles and intercultural prejudices. In the maelstrom of the night, they lose their poise and each other. The tradition of kidnapping the bride is finally threatening the couple's equality. There is no room for love in this claustrophobic role play of marriage.

Sophia Mocorrea
After her award-winning short MATADORAS german-argentinean Sophia Mocorrea wrote and directed THE KIDNAPPING OF THE BRIDE which was awarded as Best international Short in Sundance 2023 and received an honourable mention at the Berlinale. She is currently developing her first feature as part of the Torino Script Lab.
