The traces of three characters, Maria, Daniel and Jackpot, can be read as an experimental coming-of-age film. The stories merge autobiographical and fictional elements into a dense poetic space, showing the interactions between personality development, family influences and social constraints. What effects do intergenerational traumas have on the psyche, on desire and on the construction of our identity?

Gernot Wieland, born 1968, lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and at the Berlin University of the Arts. His films combine personal and historical narratives with scientific facts, as well as fictional and real elements with tragicomic events.
