When little Edie grows up, she wants to become a writer. Twenty years later, Edie Montana, raised a Catholic, writes a letter to her younger self, telling her how she fulfilled that dream: by working as a sex worker to gain enough time to write. But first she had to free herself from the dark voices in her head.

Miri Klischat

Miri Klischat, born 1995 in Wuppertal, studied film and sound at the FH Dortmund, graduating with her short film WHEN I BLEED. She is currently studying screenwriting and directing at the KHM school. In 2026 she was awarded the NRW Prize at Oberhausen for GARDEN OF EDIE, as well as the Short Tiger Award for FRAGILE.
