- European Workshop for New Curators
With support from the European Network for Film Discourse (END), Talking Shorts organizes four tandem workshops each year, which take place as part of various short film festivals across Europe.

- The Oberhausen Seminar
The Oberhausen Seminar is an experimental course on moving images in contemporary art. International artists, filmmakers, curators, and scholars use the festival as a laboratory to examine curatorial approaches, infrastructures, and forms of analysis.

New Curators is aimed at young people between the ages of 20 and 35 and helps them develop their own curatorial style.
