adOHRi - how to use the app

The adOHRi app transmits audio descriptions of selected short film programs directly to your ears. This allows you to receive film descriptions directly in the cinema and experience the diversity of short films.

The prerequisite for this is that the audio description has been stored in the screening files of the short films. You can find out whether your cinema offers the program with audio description via adOHRi in the cinema program.

adOHRi can be downloaded free of charge here:

> for Android
> for iPhone (iOS)

How does adOHRi work?
Download adOHRi to your mobile phone free of charge. Take your personal headphones with you to the cinema and start the app. Connect to the “Audio Description” Wi-Fi network. The audio description will be transmitted to your mobile phone as soon as the film starts. You can adjust the volume on your mobile phone so that you can experience the original film sound through the cinema's audio system and the audio description through your headphones.

The app only works if you have your headphones connected. The sound is not transmitted via the mobile phone's speakers. So please make sure your headphones are connected. For the best experience, come to the cinema with a charged mobile phone and use wired headphones if possible.

Requirements for using this app:
