Soirée Allemande / SHORT EXPORT - MADE IN GERMANY 2023
The traditional Soirée Allemande at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival once again marks the start of a new - now 18th - edition of the SHORT EXPORT - MADE IN GERMANY program. On January 30, the new films of the program will be presented in the presence of filmmakers. The project SHORT EXPORT - MADE IN GERMANY 2023 is a long-standing German-French cooperation between AG Kurzfilm - Bundesverband Deutscher Kurzfilm, German Films, Goethe-Institut Lyon, Festival International du Court Métrage Clermont-Ferrand, and Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg. Following the premiere, Goethe-Instituts worldwide as well as their partners can book SHORT EXPORT - MADE IN GERMANY throughout the year.

Selected from over 470 German submissions at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the six German short films in this program provide an insight into the broad artistic, aesthetic and thematic diversity of current German short filmmaking. For the Soirée Allemande on January 30, the directors Gabriel Bihina Arrahnio (I WAS NEVER REALLY HERE), Jonathan Brunner (BORDER CONVERSATIONS) and Laura Solbach (WUNSCHKIND) will be present.
