FEINKOŠT - The Czech-German Short Film Tour 2024
The three German and three Czech short documentaries in FEINKOŠT 2024 cover the entire spectrum of the documentary film genre and show the personal touch of their makers.
IN BETWEEN stands Lý Bao Long, a young Czech with Vietnamese roots who wonders where he belongs, Alisi Telengut lets us experience the formation of Lake Baikal in her visually stunning animated film BAIGAL NUUR - LAKE BAIKAL. Franzis Kabisch's desktop video essay GETTY ABORTIONS examines how German-language media illustrate the topic of abortion - and how our view of abortion is shaped by the media. VON ZÄUNEN UND MENSCHEN by Petr Michal observes people in a garden area between retreat and encounter with nature, LEIB-SEELE-PATIENT by Jindřich Andrš takes us into medical training at the Second Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. Finally, Jenia Bayat Mokhtari, Amelie Befeldt, Samuli Salonen and Sarah Veith encounter a diverse range of different people and their animal companions on a dog meadow in Leipzig in SLEEPING DOGS - misunderstandings and discussions included.
FEINKOŠT will have its first screening in the Czech Republic on October 10, 2024 at the Přítomnost cinema.
The German premiere of the program will be celebrated on 25 October 2024 during the German-Czech Culture Days at the Programmkino Ost in Dresden. Further dates in Germany and the Czech Republic are currently being planned.
