FEINKOŠT - The Czech-German Short Film Tour 2025
Of Butterflys, Oranges and Queens
The films in the 2025 edition of FEINKOST, the German-Czech short film program, tell stories of childhood, old age, the quest for freedom, and escape from war.
The six current short documentaries take us on the first vacation to Mallorca in 1990 by citizens of the GDR, as well as on the flight from Kyiv on February 24, 2022. We meet ten-year-old Vítek and six-year-old Viktorka, who have their whole lives ahead of them and bravely face their challenges. Mrs. Miko has seen a lot in her long life, but her memory is fading. And finally, there is also an extensive tribute to the Germans' favorite seasonal vegetable, asparagus.
In Czech Republic, FEINKOŠT will have its first screening on October 8, 2025, at the Přítomnost cinema. The German premiere of the program will be celebrated on November 7, 2025, during the German-Czech Cultural Days at the Programmkino Ost cinema in Dresden. Further dates in Germany and Czechia are currently being planned.
