Festival du Court-Métrage Clermont-Ferrand

The Festival du Court-Métrage Clermont-Ferrand is the most important event for short films worldwide and thus became the traditional place for the annual international presentation of the short film catalogue "German Short Films". This catalogue presents a selection of 100 exceptional current German short films as well as an extensive service appendix containing an index and important contacts of the German short film scene.

Since 2006, the “Soirée Allemande • Coup de Cœur - Le Court Métrage Allemand”, a German-French co-operation, celebrates its premiere at Clermont-Ferrand before touring the Goethe-Institutes all over the world. In 2016, the programme was renamed and will now be available each year for Goethe-Institutes and their partners as well as Robert Bosch Cultural Managers under the new name SHORT EXPORT - Made in Germany.

Furthermore, the German Short Film Association is present with a stand at the film market together with German Films, the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg and reelport presenting a selection of exceptional German short films in a market screening under the name „Matinée Allemande • Coup de Foudre - Le Court Métrage Allemand“. Since 2013, there have also been bi-annual market screenings of the short film programme “Emerging Artists” presenting experimental German short films and video art.
