AG Kurzfilm elects new board
The members of the German Short Film Association sent a strong signal of confidence during the board elections: Amrei Keul (International Short Film Week Regensburg) and Karsten Matern (AG Animationsfilm) were re-elected to their positions by an overwhelming majority. Sarah Dombrink (INTERFILM Berlin), Katrin Mundt (European Media Art Festival Osnabrück), and Wolf Plesmann (German Film and Television Academy Berlin) were newly elected to the board, also with a large majority.
In accordance with the statutes, the board members have equal rights. They will serve for the next two years and are committed to working on a voluntary basis for the interests of the association.
AG Kurzfilm would like to express its sincere thanks to Alexandra Gramatka (Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg) and Andrea Wink (exground filmfest), who did not stand for re-election, for their many years of commitment and hard work.
“Alexandra Gramatke and Andrea Wink have continuously contributed their expertise, time, and ideas to the association for more than 15 years. They have made a significant contribution to the success of our film policy projects in particular. The association is well positioned, and we are confident that the new board will continue this important work in the interests of us all,” said the two managing directors, Jutta Wille and Jana Cernik.
As an umbrella organization, AG Kurzfilm is committed to improving the visibility of German short films at home and abroad, as well as improving the production and distribution conditions for short films. The 50 members of AG Kurzfilm are institutions united by their commitment to the short form – film festivals, film and art colleges, short film distribution and sales companies, and institutions in the film and cinema industry.
