AG Kurzfilm at the EFM


Under the umbrella of German Films, AG Kurzfilm will once again be on site with its booth at the European Film Market to present its current project portfolio as well as its current catalog selection (including films for young audiences) and provide information and contacts on all aspects of German short film.

AG Kurzfilm in Clermont-Ferrand


AG Kurzfilm will again be represented with a booth at the film market of the International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand from January 30 to February 2, 2023. In cooperation with German Films, we will present numerous current German short films in three market screenings. A total of 15 German short films can be seen in the various competitions and sections of the festival.

Premiere of Emerging Artists Vol. 6 in Stuttgart


On January 14, 2023 at 5 p.m., the sixth edition of the program "Emerging Artists - Contemporary Experimental Films and Video Art from Germany" will have its premiere as part of the renowned 36th Stuttgart Film Winter.

AG Kurzfilm in Turin


From November 27 to 30, 2022, the 7th Talents and Short Film Market (TSFM) will take place in Turin. Representing this year's host country Germany, the AG Kurzfilm will present numerous events on the occasion of its 20th anniversary to give an insight into the diverse German short film scene. There will be the opportunity to meet AG Kurzfilm staff members as well as other important representatives of the German short film scene in person during the event.

Short Film and Cinema – the Filmkunstmesse Leipzig


For many years, we have been working to ensure that short film finds its way back into cinemas more often, back onto the big screen where it can best unfold. One of the most important places to talk to cinema operators, present current short films and reach the hearts of program planners is the Filmkunstmesse (film art fair) in Leipzig.

FEINKOŠT 2022 in Germany and the Czech Republic


On September 30, 2022, our traditional German-Czech short film tour FEINKOŠT will start with presenting current short films from both countries. In cooperation with the Elbe Dock Festival, we have selected six short documentary films that will tour Germany and the Czech Republic as a binational short film program until the end of the year.

SHORT EXPORT 2022 is ready for bookings!


In its 17th year, SHORT EXPORT 2022 is a new edition of the popular short film program, which started in 2006 as Soirée Allemande. After its premiere on 31st January in Clermont-Ferrand, the approximately ninety-minute programme will go on tour under the title SHORT EXPORT - Made in Germany and can be booked worldwide by Goethe-Institute and their partner organizations. Viewing Short Films via Online Preview


The online catalog currently offers more than 900 films of the short film catalogs 2007-2022 as well as various compilations on the website The service is password-protected and is aimed exclusively at the film industry. It offers, for example, the possibility to filter current German short films by director, year, genre, title and length or to research specific topics. Since 2010, there has been a separate viewing option for media educators and representatives of educational institutions.
