Eight short German animated films are selected for the International Competitions and three more for different sections of the festival. The AG Kurzfilm has again together with German Films a market stand at the MIFA and presents new short animated films in the online catalog.

In its 17th year, SHORT EXPORT 2022 is a new edition of the popular short film program, which started in 2006 as Soirée Allemande. After its premiere on 31st January in Clermont-Ferrand, the approximately ninety-minute programme will go on tour under the title SHORT EXPORT - Made in Germany and can be booked worldwide by Goethe-Institute and their partner organizations. The online catalog currently offers more than 900 films of the short film catalogs 2007-2022 as well as various compilations on the website www.ag-kurzfilm.de. The service is password-protected and is aimed exclusively at the film industry. It offers, for example, the possibility to filter current German short films by director, year, genre, title and length or to research specific topics. Since 2010, there has been a separate viewing option for media educators and representatives of educational institutions.
